SkinnyOnMe 81 Posted June 9, 2012 If you follow my posts you will see that I have a very lax NUT who is not strict at all with my diet, just wants me to eat right and adhere to my restriction. So far, so good. Now... I see that many people are appalled at carbs in any form so I want to know what your carb counts for the day are. What should you be eating according to your NUT and how much are you actually eating? How about fats?
Foxbins 625 Posted June 9, 2012 My NUT was pretty useless except for Vitamin and supplement advice. I low-carbed to goal and my carbs were rarely above 50, usually 20-30. I'd get to 50more than one serving of milk, yogurt, or cheese. Now that I'm at goal I don't count carbs anymore and eat what I want in moderation, Protein first. SkinnyOnMe 81 Posted June 9, 2012 Wow that's low. I just go by the guidelines of MFP that say 150carbs a day. No... I am usually no where near that but on my high days I just make sure I don't go over that. Hmmmm.... something to think about 1 Sharon's last chance reacted to this
Elyse 18 Posted June 9, 2012 My nutritionist like yours was very lax on carbs as well. She actually encouraged me to eat a little bit of healthy carbs every day, especially if I am exercising. During the losing phase I try to stay around 40. I'll eat oatmeal in the morning and some Carbmaster yogurt as a snack in the evening. I think it really depends on how carbs affect your body and weight loss. I find that if I keep my carbs low, the weight seems to come off fairly steady. I am currently in a 4 week stall and will probably try uping my carbs a little bit to see if that makes the scale drop at all.
Newfoundlove 95 Posted June 9, 2012 I have a great NUT. She doesn't want me counting carbs as much as grams of sugar in each serving. 6 grams or less unless it's non-fat yogurt, and 12 grams or under for all other dairy. Because the rule is Protein first, at least for now, I couldn't get a high carb count if I wanted to.
