Starting to panic. Anyone have experience in this? I would probably go the ER just to be sure, you don't want to risk it -it could cost you your life and you've already come so far. If you point your toes toward your head and it hurts really bad it is most likely a clot, but that isn't 100% --so go to the ER to be safe. Let me know how it goes. emily_0192010 168 Posted June 9, 2012 Please just either call your surgeons office or go somewhere to be seen... doesn't even have to be an er it could be a walk in clinic. Better to be safe than sorry! And please update us to let us know how you are doing now!
paramedic909 2 Posted June 9, 2012 Usually a blood clot is painful, swelling, area is warm but this is just what I have seen, in some patients I have had, it has not happened to me so I do not know if this is how they start , I would have this checked out to be on the safe side dear. Please keep us updated, prayers your way.
Mews 37 Posted June 9, 2012 When I had a clot, it felt like a bad cramp in my calf muscle. I would recommend calling your doc if you're nervous.
MzPecanBrown 86 Posted June 9, 2012 Ditto. My DVT felt like a bad charlie horse when I was standing or applying pressure. Especially up and down steps. I would advise you to go have it checked out immediately. Please let us know. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using VST
jaymzee 79 Posted June 9, 2012 Well i went to the er since we don't have an all night clinic around. Doctor isn't completely ruling out a blood clot but doesn't think it is, he said it sounds like a nerve issue. Can't remember exactly the name of my diagnosis, but I'm supposed to check up with my doctor. And I'm going to keep praying its nothing to bad. 1 MamaM reacted to this

I am not trying to discredit ER doctors, but many of them are over worked and want you in and out. I have never had a problem with an ER doctor, but other people have. Your doctor knows and loves you. 1 MamaM reacted to this
Mews 37 Posted June 10, 2012 If there is a suspected blood clot, the ER doc should have immediately scheduled you for a Doppler (ultrasound) of your leg to rule it out. I would call your surgeon if you still have the pain and get it checked out. This is something that could be very serious.
bigkim 109 Posted June 10, 2012 Swollen calf, pain, and sometimes there is no symptoms.
bigkim 109 Posted June 10, 2012 We had a patient come in with a swollen calf and we ordered a Doppler and sure enough he had a blood clot. It is serious go to another er or doctor. He should have had that test done to be sure.
