How Long After Sleeve Surgery Did You Complete Plastic Surgery?

Recommended Posts

Hi Fellow Sleevers,

I may be a little early but I wanted to start planning and saving.

How soon after the sleeve surgery did you have plastic surgery?

Also, how much weight did you lose before you completed plastic surgery?

I know this is personal, but if you don't mind sharing (I know this will help a lot of us)....

What plastics did you have completed?

What was the cost?

Thank you!!

I had a facelift and necklift 10 months after surgery. I was at goal and had lost 83 lbs. I am still considering a Tummy Tuck and butt augmentation, haven't decided yet. I had my surgery in Costa Rica and the surgeon and hospital cost was $8700.

Yes, and the last 10 lbs seemed to come out of my face! I figured I could cover up the saggy body bits with clothing, but everyone could see my jowls, turkey neck, and deeper wrinkles so I went with the face first

I'm curious about this too! I was hoping being young would help with the skin.. but it truly hasn't. I am not at goal yet, and I plan to wait awhile to see what happens naturally (and ignore the fact that there is no way I could ever afford it in the first place..).

Lol! I am 21 now, I was sleeved when I was 20. But really, supposedly there are sooo many factors that age is only a small one. And my skin very well could shrink back... but right now it doesn't feel like it ever will! Everything is easily hidden with a Spanx "thing" (I call them my "things"... always have lol!) that I got from target. So it really isn't that much of a big deal.

I am I one year today. Need an inner thigh lift. Not sure when I will get it, but I know I will. Tummy Tuck at some point too, but will wait to meet with a doctor. Have a consultation on August 3rd with one doctor. Washington, DC is out of this world expensive in comparison to other markets. My sleeve was $18k.

I was sleeved in February 2011 and I will undergo a panniculectomy on October 2, 2012. Although I am not at goal weight, my pannus has caused me to have severe backaches, but with no rashes or anything like that. It has become difficult to do aerobics (Zumba), a lot of jumping around hurts like crazy. I walk 4-5 times a week for about an hour or more.

Since I have had a breast reduction in 1990 I was able to call the plastics department (with no referral) and set up an appt to see the surgeon who perform my reduction. This past Monday, I met with him and without hesitation he scheduled me. He asked a few questions, checked my pannus and then my breast to see if there is anything special I want done, and told me to stay with exercising and eat as naturally and nutritionally as possible.

I am planing a breast aug, Tummy Tuck, and some others.

The tummy tuck I have to wait until 2014 bc my insurance will cover it :)

The boobs will be done in may or June 2013

Hello happy days ahead I am 28 and if needed I would do other lifts. If I needed a arm or thigh lift I would do this in Mexico but as far as the boobs I am seeing dr Robert Rey the only man I would ever trust with my boobies.

Breast is 10k

Tummy 10k

Thigh and arm in Mexico is 6k

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
