AliveAgain 283 Posted June 8, 2012 A few years back, I was shopping in a cute boutique with a friend. I knew they only went up to a size 10, but I was looking for gifts for other people. A very rude saleswoman made it a point to let me know, "We don't carry your size in here, you may want to go to the mall to find what you need." Well, today I walked into a Lane Bryant to return some size 14 shorts I bought last month. And wouldn't you know it, one of the saleswomen kindly pointed out, "Ma'am, I don't think we have your size here, may I ask what you're looking for?" Ha. THAT was a first... 13 Back~To~Amy, VJSlim, Miriam and 10 others reacted to this

Parker's Dad 50 Posted June 22, 2012 LOL!! That is great. Considering the sleeve at this point in time. I hope that one day I can be in that same situation. It kinda sucks not wearing anything smaller than a 2-3X shirt. That is one of those things that would just make you turn around, smile, and walk away! Congrats! thinoneday 445 Posted June 26, 2012 How wonderful! Congratulations! I bet you felt great! I had a not so nice comment past my way the other day and was feeling pretty bad about it, but then shook it off as pure ligitamit ignorance. . . I have lost a total of 150 lbs, which in my book is not too bad. . . I've been feeling great about myself and lovin life. . yes i have TONS of loose skin (can't afford plastics) so i jiggle here and there a bit, but whatever, I'm thin right? Or so I thought. . . . I was in the grocery store last sunday minding my own dang business when this group of young people walking in a tight group, walked by and one young bumbaclat says "Hey whats shakin bacon!" I gave him that "look" that usually starts a fight with the young people and walked off. . . even though it came from someone who had no clue about me and all, I took it as a great insult. . . my 22 year old daughter told me it was just his way of saying "hey what's up" . . . but if that was the case, whats up with the bacon part???? Well at least he wasn't cute or anything much to look at, or a real man because then I would have been really disqusted with myself. . .
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted June 26, 2012 Such a weird statement to make. I would rather have my jiggles any day than my fat. And yes, even though we are skinny, we are still very self conscious about our bodies, even though we are so sexy! We just have more character. LOL. You people don't realize how such stupid comments can really hurt a person's feelings. Shame on them. Your daughter is a beautiful young lady!
ShoeLover 141 Posted June 26, 2012 "What's shakin, bacon?" - it actually is used mainly as a greeting, the guy probably thought he was being clever - by saying something that rhymes. It really was probably just a harmless remark.
thinoneday 445 Posted June 26, 2012 lol, being clever! lmao. . . your right though shoelover, my daughter said the same thing, just a greeting. . . but to rhymn things? Isn't there a illness where people rhymn things out loud in public? lmao! Young people! Who will ever figure them out!
