melissamae99 14 Posted June 7, 2012 So I am 9 days post op. I am happy with my decision, but am finding it hard to not eat!! I have to make Breakfast, lunch and dinner for my kids daily, and I find myself wanting what they are eating, not this "full-liquid stage" stuff anymore!! I know the food stages and guidelines are there for a reason, but man, I just want something of substance to chew on and eat!! Any advice/thoughts? 1 Luwanna reacted to this

Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted June 7, 2012 What helps me is that I made sure that I had my Protein Drink before preparing food for my family. It helped a lot.
melissamae99 14 Posted June 7, 2012 Having my Protein drink before making their meals sounds like a good idea. I' counting the days til I can have some fruit and yogurt...only 4 more days!
DogMom3 11 Posted June 7, 2012 You are a strong woman Melissa....so you can do this! I know I don't know you, but I think that any of us overweight people that love food and has this surgery has to have some amazing strength. When you get to have that fruit and yogurt you will enjoy it 10x more since you know you are having it at the right time. Good Luck
Seemebetter 24 Posted June 7, 2012 Well I am 8 days out and I am on soft foods when do you start?

Mctrisha66 5 Posted June 8, 2012 Day 7 for me. I'm hungry! I want real food. It feels like emotional torture. I will make it through, but it's going to be tough. So sorry for your cravings. You are not alone, nor misunderstood.

thinmymind 107 Posted June 9, 2012 I am preop, so I have no idea what you are going through, but I will still be on clears 9 days post op, consider the alternative.
comfortably numb 8 Posted June 9, 2012 Head hunger. We are food addicts(most of us) we have an unhealthy view of food.< /p> Head hunger + liquids only. There's no way liquids stay on our small stomachs like solid food would. So you're hungry shortly after.
Cody0709 15 Posted June 9, 2012 I am 10 days out and Tuesday the doctor moved me to soft foods, I guess every doctor is different. I really needed. Move to the soft foods, I had no energy and was weak. Today I had a whole bag of oat meal, protien shake, maybe 3 oz of tuna, dinner scrambled egg and a half a piece of sausage. Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted June 9, 2012 Cody is sausage a soft ? I can't believe you ate all that at 10 days out. Too me, I wouldn't have been able to eat 1/4th of that amount. Please be careful you don't bust your sleeve open, your still healing. 1 tiffany bowen reacted to this
comfortably numb 8 Posted June 9, 2012 I'm at 7 days out and moved to mushy stuff. I had about 4oz of grits, a Protein Shake, chicken broth , and a creamy Soup my wife makes with a root veggie similar to mash potatoes but soupy. All the portions were no more than 6 oz and I felt full each time.
