I would be excited too, Cloe!!! I've wanted to get highlights again... for a long time. Maybe I'll get highlights, then tape beers to my hands!

Hi Chloe. I hope you enjoy your pampering session. The blow dry is my favorite part, although there is something diva'ish about sitting up on a raised chair, with tin foil in your hair, and sporting a shiny cape. Watch out for the mothership!

Have fun, you deserve it!

Victoria.

Well my highlites went well, I really like them. Thanks to all me well-wishers, what a great support system we all have here!!!!

Well, another little glitch on the road of life........I 'm feeling like I should get another fill. Yes, I just got one 2 weeks ago.

I initially lost 3 lbs....good! Then this week gained back 1.5.....bad!!! I also have felt NO more restriction than before. I cannot believe this myself, but it is true. I am getting a little bit longer out of my meals, but no more restriction. I actually havent even PB'd (not that your suppose to), and I've been eating sandwiches, Buns, steak, etc... it is sooo weird. I know its there, cause she pulled out 1.6 before she gave the fill to me.

So anyways, I e-mailed the clinic, they said they cannot do another fill inside 14 days, cause sometimes it takes a while to settle in. She said if by Monday(tommorrow) I still feel no difference to call and they'll take me in right away for another fill. I can't believe this, it is soooo strange to me, but I really need a kick-start, so I'm calling tommorrow!!!!!

My January 29th fill FINALLY clicked in!!!!

I went from eating pizza, pork chops and sandwiches a week ago.....to having a hard time with mushroom Soup and mash potatoes this weekend. WEIRD eh???? Silly band, but I'm not complaining!!!! Hoping to see the ticker move now!!!

Wow,you can eat sandwiches,I thought those were likely gone for good.A week ago before the fill kicked in you say you could eat all that stuff, but not very much and very slow or like normal? I guess I'm just wondering how this whole restriction thing works...it's kinda confusing:confused:

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
