Patrick Curl 424 Posted June 6, 2012 So, My exercise doc, wanted me to 'take extra opportunities to walk' - well walking around the block I can make it like 75% then I get an oh SH*T moment and scan for a seat somewhere or try running cause my back just feels like it is gonna give out... Well today, I've started a new habit. EVERY time I take a trip to the bathroom I am going to go on a walk before (or after depending on severity of my bladder). The bathroom here at work is like through a hallway, through the kitchen and around the corner. So instead I'm gonna go out the backdoor, do a lap around our parking lot(small lot - 15 cars maybe), in the back door, then to the bathroom. Since starting my pre-op diet I am using the bathroom quite a bit more - like once every 2 hours at least - so that's 4 x times per day that I get to walk and burn some calories. I also am trying to walk when I get home - or at least do Kinect Kickboxing. I really feel exercise is one of the most important parts of this journey, and something I'm not gonna neglect. 2 Spirit Fire and SexySlim reacted to this

Lissa 2,631 Posted June 6, 2012 Every single step helps, so I think it's a great idea. I started walking up and down the hallway in my apartment, then walking around the short end of my building. There's nothing little about adding more steps to your day! It's a tremendous thing to do!! Go Patrick!!
