raqzilla 4 Posted August 16, 2012 Hi I had my surgery on June 8 at Mather. Best of luck! My friend Jessica had her surgery done with him. Are you getting a sleeve or a band?
dar1983 751 Posted August 16, 2012 Lond Islander here, sleeved on May 15th, 2012, lost 45 lbs as of Saturday the 30th. Had surgery with Dr. Angstadt, part of New York Bariatric Group, location of surgery was Mercy Hospital. If I could say one thing about Mercy Hospital is listen to what they tell you to do, especially at the pre-operative class they make you take. it helps and works. I did not take a single drop of pain medication in hospital or when I got home from the hospital, that was my choice I did not feel that the pain was enough to warrant taking it, considering I know the side effects of pain medication, lol. I also had Dr. Angstadt at Mercy. You are 100% correct about the pre-op classes....SO informative! My daughter had the surgery at St. Charles, and they did NOTHING....what a difference. Grek79Ital 18 Posted September 30, 2012 I am in College Point Queens, Had my Sleeve done 9/18 with Dr Holover ( NY Bariatric Group ) at Mercy Medical Center. I have to say, NY Bariatric Group is the place to go for this surgery. Mercy Medical Center was great, very attentive, and the class they give is very informative, and listen to what the doctors, nutritionist, nurses say, it will help you in the long run. I didnt see there psych, I saw my own, that my insurance covered. I have GHI, and had the whole 6 month weigh ins.
