So I'll be a week out on Wed. I'm having trouble getting in all my Protein. So I got the grand idea to drink the ispoure clear. That has got to be the nastiest crap on the planet. I thought is made my mouth and teeth feel funny after drinking it. So I brush after each 8 oz. Now it leaves this horrific film on my tongue. I'm done. I am currently drinking muscle milk light. Any other suggestions?

The last two days I've gotten in the 30's with protien and the 40's with Water. I normally drink all Protein Drinks over ice to water them down a bit. I fell like I get full so it's hard to keep drinking. Tomorrow I'm starting operation 64. I must get it done. I have my one week follow up Friday. I'm thinking about purchasing a tub of Unjury non flavored from my dr's office. That should make things easier.

Mootopia! I get it at HEB. It is a protien-fortified reduced sugar - lactose free milk. The chocolate has 45 % less sugar and 50% more protien. 8 oz w/a scoop of unflavored Unjury is 32g protien.

That's what I'm talking about. Off to google now to research it. Thanks!

Everyone on here talks about Premier Protein and I finally gave in and tried it. It is pretty tasty, much nicer than muscle milk, and has I think 30g of Protein in one RTD serving. They sell it at costco and Sam's Club and online. :)

For me though, earlier at least, I stuck to unjury and nectar. You can buy a nectar sample pack at Bariatric Advantage -- online -- for like 13 bucks.

Oh crap looks like I have to buy it in TX. I don't see where I can buy it online or like a trader joe's.

I've only found one I can stomach. It's called Pure Protein Shake and it comes in a can like a coke. It is really watery and goes down easy. It has 35 grams of Protein and 4 grams of carbs. I tried the vanella and didn't like it. The chocolate is pretty good. They are pretty expensive so I just have one a day. I got them at our local Vitamin shop but I heard GNC carries them too.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
