Hi all. Home now and made it through surgery just fine. Pretty tired. was slightly depressed when I got home and stepped on the scale and had gained 11 lbs. Hopefully that will go down quickly. not sure how a body does that after not eating anything

That happened after band in 05. It is swelling, IV Fluid, etc. don't weigh until your 2 week post op visit, if you can. You will be pleased. Glad it went well. Follow all rules you were taught to prepare for this. YOU DID IT!

Glad you are home and doing well. herewegoagain is right. Try not to weigh yourself. You have been filled with IV fluids that will throw any weightloss off. When you go back for your postop appointment, you should have gotten rid of most, if not all, of that. You did it! woot! You are now on the loser's bench!

Feeling more like myself today. Have lost about 9 of the 11 lbs I gained. Can drink bigger sips than I thought I would be able to, but have to be careful or I get the burps or hiccups. And they hurt. I have taken very little pain medication. sleeping fairly well. Not really hungry, but for some reason yesterday I had cravings for potato chips. Not sure if I was needing salt or what was going on there. Hope those of you having your surgery today are doing well.
