I'm 2 weeks out from surgery. - 32 lbs (20 pre, 12 post). I think I may he at a standstill, but I can't help but wonder if this was the dumbest thing I've EVER done!! I began at 281, I'm on full liquids and having the worst time ever. Will I ever be able to enjoy anything to eat? Will I ever be normal. Sorry for the rant, I just really miss having a meal with the fam. ????

:) you will be able to sit down and have meals with your family soon. In fact, you can sit with them and have your liquids as well. Be proud and keep up the good work! :)

I look at it this way - if I don't do the surgery where will I be? I know that I can lose weight but it will come back and I will gain more -then I'm not enjoying time with my family because I am so heavy.

My surgery is tomorrow and I am pretty sure I will have days of regrets but as I told someone recently, if I don't lose another pound this is still great because pre surgery I have lost 40lbs and as long as I don't see those back, then surgery is a success.

Its hard to learn new habits and ways of doing things and I think the biggest complication with this surgery is being prepared for exactly how hard it is! The sleeve doesn't magically get the weight off, it's all through diet and dedication to eating and being a healthier person.

I am 6 weeks out and I had regrets about 3 weeks out. I can not eat what I want, grits are getting old, stuff like that but that regret goes away, I promise. Good luck!!!!

Yes, you will enjoy food again. I'm 9 weeks post op and I eat out and eat dinner with my family everyday, granted my portions are super small, but I do enjoy food. Have faith that you will to soon.
