judy7120 4 Posted June 3, 2012 My husband is wondering if anyone has experienced this? Thanks, Judy. This is the thing he has to inhale into 10 times every 2 hours.
raven8888 86 Posted June 3, 2012 Did he just have the surgery? I know I had a lot of left over blood in my stomach about 24-32 hours and kind of had a metalic taste in my mouth. I know this because I was vomiting dark old blood for a while after and doctor said that was the old blood left over. Maybe he is having a little reflux and tasting some stomach content post surgery???

chicagochic 73 Posted June 3, 2012 I had to do it as well for a few days post surgery. They said it was something about expanding the lungs and removing fluids. It gets easier as you get stronger. 1 judy7120 reacted to this
raven8888 86 Posted June 3, 2012 By the way Judy, I think it is so great how active and supportive you are for your husband and getting on here for him while he is recovering. I would say if he continues to experience this strange taste after a couple more days, it wouldn't hurt to call the doc. I'm sure they have heard it all and can at least give you an explanation to why.
cookies 56 Posted June 3, 2012 Mine got kind of funky-tasting after a couple of days. I think we rinsed out the blowy-part and it was better for me. 1 judy7120 reacted to this
