Onow by next year I will need some type of breast surgery. I am a DD, but am losing volume and gravity taking its toll already. I have seen and heard horror stories. My sleevevsurgeon said wait a full year and there are many tecniques. He said most have a reduction with a small implant vs a lift.

Ideas and experiences are greatly appreciated! I am in SE La. My Sleeve surgeon was Dr. Mark Dominguez partner of Dr. Ordyne at Northlake Surgical with St. Tammamy Hospital in Covington, La. He is FABULOUS. Thanks!

Eeeek! I shudder to think of what will come of "the girls"!!!!! =:o

I live in South Louisiana. I am currently the same size as you and looking in to reduction and lift, for when it's time. I have a ways to go as I have not been "sleeved"yet. ~21 days to go. Nervous and excited, all at the same time!

Best of luck to you on your journey.

JaneDeaux,

Good luck to you. Into week 3 and this has actually been easy but I follow the post op instructions to the letter. I can see if people over consume or consume too fast, how they would feel sick. It is amazing not to crave food. I am free! Soon you will be too if that is an issue for you.

My girls will have to wait a year post op, but that is ok. In the meantime, will research.

Geaux Tigers!

Courage! We're all different, so you may lose a lot of mass, but I started a 44D and now I'm a 36D. The band kept getting smaller but the cup stayed filled. However, I must admit they sit lower than before but thankfully, are still pointed forward. A good bra makes my boobs look fantastic, so I'm not planning on any breast surgery.

That is great! So true, a really good bra makes a difference! I bought one new one and it helped a lot, but soon that one will be too big, and fortunately I kept some nice ones from a few years ago that I can almost get back into. Want to save my money bc I can see I will need to buy clothes during this process. When I get to goal, I will splurge!

I had a breast reduction at 16 from a 36I (Yes I) down to a 36 C. Then I gained a ton of weight and went back up to a 40DD. Then I lost 40 lbs, and went down to a 36D. Then I gained it all back plus some and ended up a 40DDD. Through it all, the girls have been amazing. I'm hoping I can end up a 36D again, but I so understand the fear. I really don't want another breast surgery. I'm just hoping that they will hold up so well this time I'm almost half way to goal, and so far, so good.

How are you doing after a few years with sleeve now? I'd really love to hear more about Dr Dominguez.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
