Yoda, I can finally relate. It took 6 days after my second fill for my band to let me know it's actually there.

After a fill why does it sometimes take days to feel the results. You would think it it was too tight, you would know right away !

My own personal view is that you DO know right away.

However, afterwards....as you live with the band...there are "loose" days and "tight" days.

That is my experience, anyways.

Hey Yoda!

I went to TO this past Monday for another fill. I'm not sure I'm at my sweet spot yet, I think I ate a bit too much yesterday, however.....this morning I'm having trouble getting a cup of tea down.

Anyhow, when I arrived at TLBC and checked in for my fill with Nancy, I asked if I could speak with Kathy. The receptionist seemed to behave a bit strange and then said she wasn't in. So, asked to speak to Nisrine and she said the Nisrine doesn't come in on Monday's unless she has consultation appointments. So, I mentioned the TLBC message board to her but she was so unfamiliar with "message boards" in general and couldn't help me....so, even after a face -to- face we are no further ahead.

PS....forgot to tell you....on my second last visit to TO hubby and I was at the bar in the Four Seasons Yorkville...it was during the film festival. We saw Nisrine and Dr. Joffe in a cozy corner....(they weren't up to anything that I could see).....however, it was approx 10:30 pm......Hmmmmmm! Nisrine is very beautiful....I never realized until I saw her that night.

Yes, Nisrine is extremely beautiful.....very naturally beautiful indeed.

Carol: that is odd.....about Kathy.....I wonder if we are reading too much into it or if something has gone on?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
