Playa Del Carmen, Mayan Riviera

I've been there. It's gorgeous! I loved the beach and I loved the town. :) Did you have a good time?

Update: today was a MUCH better day. So far I've been able to eat at every meal (the bandster portion as opposed to the baby sparrow portion) and no probems with upchucking!!!! *knock on wood* (*looks for Mandi's head*!).

So, as long as I get thru this evening without any unsavoury events, I'll be a happy camper.

I did talk to the clinic today and they said I may be a wee bit too tight (in lieu of the liquid coming up into my throat at night while sleeping)...but we decided I'd wait a week to see if it settles down. I can hack it if I know it might do so.

So, all in all....a good day for this bandit....first good day since my last fill on 12 Jan.

:)

The best thing to do is to make them PBs count. Save 'em for when you are around people who are annoying you!:D Eat your food when you are confronted with an irritating colleague, a traffic cop who is about to write you out a parking ticket....:rolleyes

Me too! We stayed at Barcelo Maya Beach Resort-you know where the two Canadians were murdered?

We need to make a Canadian Bandsters Mexican Holiday. How about for winter 2008? The All Inclusive resort may have lost some of its appeal to us though. Mandi should have her raise by then and if not that other girl may have to have a horrible accident that leaves her with loose bowels for 15 months. Just enough time for Mandi to make her move.

Yoda...the Beans or the photo's?:faint:

Yeah... if 2 Canadians have already been murdered there... what are the chances that anymore will? At least for a while.

I think I'd rather do an all inclusive thing. Who did it lose its appeal to, and why?

Yoda, you're awesome.

nah, I'll still do all - inclusives....who cares if I don't eat much!! I also don't drink alcohol (haven't in years) but it is still worth it to go to an all inclusive!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
