Way to go Yoda!! Guess what, I actually went on my treadmill for 40 mins today! That is huge for me, I've been in a rut lately, now that I am back from vacation I am planning on getting back on track. I start my Optifast diet on the 31st so I'd like to start eating better now.

Yoda,

You're doing FABULOUS! We're all so very proud of you. Hope you're enjoying the lovely snow. I got my exercise this morning without stepping foot in the gym.... I love this stuff ....(repeat after me!)

Hugs, Roxs

Awesome Yoda. Mr Loriely has 7.5cc in his band and he has pb's quite a bit. We think he is chewing enough. He isn't to tight either it just happens.

Update: today was a MUCH better day. So far I've been able to eat at every meal (the bandster portion as opposed to the baby sparrow portion) and no probems with upchucking!!!! *knock on wood* (*looks for Mandi's head*!).

So, as long as I get thru this evening without any unsavoury events, I'll be a happy camper.

I did talk to the clinic today and they said I may be a wee bit too tight (in lieu of the liquid coming up into my throat at night while sleeping)...but we decided I'd wait a week to see if it settles down. I can hack it if I know it might do so.

So, all in all....a good day for this bandit....first good day since my last fill on 12 Jan.

:)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
