LBM 14 Posted June 2, 2012 Beef Jerky is high in Protein, low in fat, and I can tolerate it (I'm nearly 6 months after surgery). I don't know how to measure it. Is an ounce like an ounce of fresh beef, or does an ounce of dried meat measure as MORE than that? Thanks for your help.
peacequeen 434 Posted June 2, 2012 It's my favorite source of Protein. I eat it almost every day. I don't measure it, I just guesstimate my portions per ounce. Sorry I can't help much.
lsereno 2,525 Posted June 2, 2012 I use the nutrition data on the package. I aim for 65+ grams of Protein a day and now, in maintenance, >1500 calories on average. Some days I eat more and some days less. It's working for me so far. I had stellar stats at my one year check up and I have been maintaining my weight for a couple of months now.
