Malyss 31 Posted June 2, 2012 Bah, chili garlic sauce is great stuff. Then again, I have developed a taste for Vietnamese food and my love of this stuff started at my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. It goes great with pho.

[/quote'] I've tried it but its a little to acidic for me m, personally. I like kuchakara(may have spelled it wrong ) its korean chilli flake has a very nice kick. I also like the asian chilli mixed with the dried shrimp, so bomb! I love pho btw, kinda scared to eat it with the noodles, are the noodles still healthy to eat? -d'andra

Granted, pho was my first restaurant food after I had my sleeve. About 4 days after my surgery when I was on the full liquid stage, I forced my husband to take me to one of our Vietnamese restaurants so that I could have some pho broth while he ate the rest of the Soup. I have had pho a couple of times since then, but I have concentrated on the broth and the beef first and have just had a little of the noodles (well chewed). Katie713 423 Posted June 9, 2012 I'm 2 months out and able to enjoy my chili! I make a great homemade jalapeno salsa and it doesn't bother me at all, tabasco sauce on eggs, Thai flavors, etc. A raw chili did kick my A** over the weekend though so I'll wait a little while to try that again! CrazyCatLady 130 Posted June 9, 2012 I know Crazycatlady's hubby (who had RNY I believe) is a huge hot pepper nut, and I love my hot spices as well. I'm still on stage one (liquids only) but my own research has shown things to start to get back to what you would consider "comfortable" after a while. I will test jalapenos with Staypopped the Mushmallow Man when I get to that point. You beat me to it! Yes, my husband (who is post-op RNY) is HUGE into spicy foods. It wants food so hot that it makes his brow sweat and his bunghole tingle....and eats pretty much any spicy food he wants, with restriction only to carbs, as the sweet stuff really messes with him. Chances are, EVENTUALLY you will be able to have those spicy goodies again, but it won't be on your time table...it'll be on your sleeve's timetable. Patience, young padawan!!
