disneyteach 68 Posted June 1, 2012 O.k. I lost 45 pounds in one month and walking 2 miles every morning. Everything is great, except that I can not seem to get rid of my bigger clothes. So many times I have lost weight and put it back on, I am scared to get rid of my bigger clothes. I have started shopping for new clothes and even bought a bunch of clothes one and two sizes smaller than I am now, in hopes of getting there within two months. How did you get rid of your bigger clothes without being scared of needing them again? At what point, did you decide to empty out your closet and went shopping again? Lissa 2,631 Posted June 1, 2012 Teach, I've been slowly letting go of my clothes, but just this past weekend, I finally went through and was ruthless about it. I had kept some of the bigger t-shirts and stuff, but they are all in my Goodwill box now. I didn't keep mine as much because I thought they'd ever fit again, Heaven forbid! But because I thought they'd make great junk t-shirts or sleep shirts. One of them fell off me over my shoulders last week while I was pressure washing the house and eliminated that thought! I'm 9 months post-op, if that gives you any idea of how long it has taken my mind to catch up to my body. And, I'm still waiting for security to come escort me back to the plus size section every time I go clothes shopping! 3 disneyteach, nabird77 and marilyn1022 reacted to this
