Oh sorry. How about a makeover at the makeup counter. That's little and I think they only make you buy one product. New workout clothes/sports bra. New iTunes. Jewelry. Charm Bracelet and get a new charm after every mini goal.

I'm all about new shoes and purses, mani/pedi, massages, limo wine tours, something personalized (I want a new briefcase) my big one is a trip to Maui for meeting goal. I have until Fall of 2013 to get my butt in gear. Oh, what about a girls weekend in Vegas???

I'm afraid that I am like SexySlim on this one. I very much believe in pampering myself' date=' so it is hard to think of routine treats that would be meaningful. I'm buying myself the classic Coach weekend duffle when I reach goal.[/quote']

My sister works for coach in Atlanta i would be in trouble if coach was a goal for me..love me some coach everything. But don't have me a overnight bag.

I agree with the mani/pedi, facial, etc. But the "gift" I give myself is time. I give myself time to sit and read for an hour while sipping on a Decaf hot tea (or iced tea). Today I gave myself the time to go to a movie. I've also taken a walk around Sprouts and Mother's Market to see what "new foods" I might be able to eat. I used to mediate and have started doing that again. Another low-cost reward I give myself is cleaning out a drawer or closet, trying on clothes that are too big and then enjoy putting them in a bag to donate. My husband and I walked to the park last weekend and had a picnic -- we haven't done this in many years. I download books on tape and spend time listening to them with other distractions. I have given myself "time" to play a game on the Internet. Sometimes I can only get a "20" minute "gift" but I am finding these gifts to be releiving my stress and sense of being anxious. Over the years I have spent so many hours trying to meet the needs/demands of others that I am now makng special efforts to tell myself I am proud of what I have achieved and then fully embrace the reward.

Enjoy the rewards everyone!

Meant "without" other distractions.

I have a Coach briefcase that I have had for years and it is the most wonderful bag I have ever had. That overnight bag is HUGE motivation. LOL.

I want to set small 15-20lbs a month and surprise my sister in October for the hair show. Then have a yard sale to get the old cloths out and new clothes in.. Set my goal low due to if I have a stall I won't freak out..

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
