What is the consistency of liquid Lortab? If I remember right it's thick and syrupy right? Here's the deal... I got a rx for it for my surgery but I have a friend who had a Rx drug problem. I hadn't used so I was kinda keeping track of it. However today when I looked at it the volume was the same but it sloshed more in the bottle. When I opened it, it was like Water. Just wanna make sure not crazy. I hope I'm wrong.

I would take it to a pharmacy and ask.... Thats a dangerous line to be crossing... :/ hope things work out for you and your friend.

Sounds about right to me, but if you have any doubts a pharmacist can check it for you. If nothing else, ask them if you can see it in their bottle, and compare its viscosity to what's in yours.

It's thicker than Water, but not what I would consider thick. No where near as thick as cough Syrup or children's ibuprofen. Mine is yellowish in color.

Mine was very thin and watery, yellow in color, & tasted nasty! But if you have seen a consistency change, I would be very leary and seek out your pharmacist . If the pharmacist deems your prescription has been tampered with..that friend wouldn't be allowed back in the house!

I just took a dose 5 minutes ago. It is syrupy but not thick. Its more of a watery consistence. Hope that helps. And ya..it tastes terrible!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
