Hey everyone! I absolutely hate the taste of Water, so i use crystal light. Is it ok to mix it in with my water everyday or should i take breaks from it? If not any advice to make it taste better? Thanks in advance for your support. [=

If that is what it takes...do it. I only like Water when it is ice cold and it doesnt stay that way when we can only take sips. I have about 10 different flavors of crystal light so I dont get tired of one flavor.

My doc told me I could use Propel as well.. I HATE crystal light!! I don't like the aspertame flavor or after taste it has. Propel grape is my favorite but all of them are good =)

I hate Water tooooo!!!! and my liquids have to be ice cold, i cant do warm or hot! I use flavoring stuff, or drink low cal G2, 0cal Sobe Lifewater, bai5 (0sugars/carbs/5cal anti oxidant drink from 7-11), etc. throw em in the freezer, or in a blender with some ice to make a slushy, and am going to try putting some in ice cube trays with a tooth pick. Any way you can get your liquids in....

I also only use 1/2 of a packet, it seems too sweet if I use the whole packet. I also have tried the Wal-Mart brand of the packets...they are good too, and cheaper!

Walmart brand is what i use too, crystal light is not cheap enough for me lol. I use two packets for my entire 64 oz. I have a big Water bottle that can hold my entire Water intake.

Sobe Lifewater 0 calories still has carbohydrates in it, so I was told not to drink it. Propel Zero has 0 carbohydrates so it's probably a better choice. Black Cherry is pretty good as is Cranberry Lime.

When you have to sip slowly. a trick for keeping your Water icy cold or hot is to use a well-insulated travel mug as a pitcher and a teeny cup (shot glass works well) as your drinking cup. Just keep refilling the small cup as you sip. The Contigo cups do a good job of keeping liquids warm/cold.

I make a 2 gallon jug of Crystal Light Decaf Tea mixed with the CL Lemonade. I drink 2 glasses of that a day, then I still get in 2-3 bottles of ice Water. I don't get my daily calories in, is my big issue. I am 3.5 months out, and I only get about 500 calories a day, because I simply am never hungry, and I can't force myself to eat. So, I basically live off water, CL, and Unjury.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
