DadTo2 152 Posted May 31, 2012 Morning! I have to take a VO2 test today and was wondering if anyone here has taking this test before? I am curious as to what happens with this test, how it works, what to expect, etc... Thanks! Eric

DadTo2 152 Posted May 31, 2012 Here is what I know so far: VO2 max, or maximal oxygen uptake, is one factor that can determine an athlete's capacity to perform sustained exercise and is linked to aerobic endurance. VO2 max refers to the maximum amount of oxygen that an individual can utilize during intense or maximal exercise. It is measured as "milliliters of oxygen used in one minute per kilogram of body weight." This measurement is generally considered the best indicator of an athlete's cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. So it's basically a cardiac clearance test as I have a history of cardiac issues with my family. Not me but immediate family. What I am wanting to know is what to really anticipate with this test.
