Ok so I've yet to meet with the NUT but what is the reason for no diet soda? Just curious here :-)

it is not the diet, it is the carbonation. bubbles ='s bad

Ive been told no diet soda BEFORE 6 months cause of the carbonation- it can cause damage to your staple line even then.

No diet soda AFTER 6 months because it is likely a trigger/gateway food for junk and makes you crave junk.

As I understand it.... sparkling water/club soda is OK in moderation after 6 months.

I started drinking diet soda at about 11 months out. I drink it everyday, NO WHERE near like I use to. Maybe a can a day now...

I was told no carbonated drinks or caffeine for life after surgery, but I know not everyone even with my same surgeon follow the guidelines. However, I plan to follow them.
