Souledout 31 Posted May 30, 2012 Ok so I've yet to meet with the NUT but what is the reason for no diet soda? Just curious here :-)
Lauranbob Mc 94 Posted May 30, 2012 it is not the diet, it is the carbonation. bubbles ='s bad 1 MyGastricSleeveLife reacted to this
CaliKat 153 Posted May 30, 2012 Ive been told no diet soda BEFORE 6 months cause of the carbonation- it can cause damage to your staple line even then. No diet soda AFTER 6 months because it is likely a trigger/gateway food for junk and makes you crave junk. As I understand it.... sparkling water/club soda is OK in moderation after 6 months. Lauranbob Mc 94 Posted May 30, 2012 I was told never again for carbonation after surgery
MyGastricSleeveLife 180 Posted May 30, 2012 I was told no carbonated drinks or caffeine for life after surgery, but I know not everyone even with my same surgeon follow the guidelines. However, I plan to follow them. 1 Lauranbob Mc reacted to this
