robin33 71 Posted May 30, 2012 Ok, I will be traveling to Costa Rica on June 27 for my surgery. I will be on a liquid diet and can have some fat free veggies, 1 serving of fruit, 2 slices of whole wheat bread, broth, 2 cups of skim milk a day. I arrive at the airport at 4:30, fly out at 6:30 and arrive in Costa Rica at 1:30. The trip back is an hour more....My question is...what do i do for nutrition? Can you take Protein Drinks on a flight out of the country or what??? Any suggestions would be appreciated as I have never been on an airplane and I have never had the urge to be...but this is my chance to have the WLS done FREE and I am going to happily jump on that plane (maybe medicated) and head to costa rica! takingthejourney 23 Posted May 30, 2012 I was able to to take individual servings of Jello and pudding and packets of stuff - they said if it was a special diet we could bring it and consume it in the plane - but they confiscated the muscle milk - no liquids - we flew from KC, MO to San Diego, Ca - I checked the guidelines online for the airline we were flying on. Good luck on your trip!!! Awesome that your sleeve will be free - you will probably get lots of inquiries about that!!
deltadawn817 106 Posted May 30, 2012 I just took my Protein Powder in little zip bags to mix in my shaker bottle when I traveled.
