In Need Of New Food Ideas

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I haven't been doing too good since my snacking is killing me but that's because I'm not planning my meals I was sleeved 4/9 and only 20 lbs down. Could anyone share any ideas for a high Protein Breakfast that won't include eggs or Greek yogurt as I can't see them anymore. Thanks!!!

The name of the game here is layering. Read on and see :)

Spray an 8x8 square pan with Pam or any other nonstick spray, and pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Pour 1/4 of the egg whites (don't need to be exact here) and place one layer of canadian bacon at the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle about 1/4 of the oats (so, 1/4 c.), and put this mixture in the oven for 10 minutes.

Remove the pan from the oven and add another layer of egg whites, then 1/4 c. oats, then a layer of canadian bacon, then another 1/4 c. oats. Put this mixture in the oven for about 15 minutes, keeping an eye on it, and adding the next layer when this one is no longer liquidy, but not cooked all the way through.

Remove the pan from the oven, add the rest of the oats, then the rest of the egg whites, then place a layer of canadian bacon on the top. Put it back in the oven until the top is firm, if you stick a fork in the middle it should come out clean (like a cake). The top will get a little brown.

When it's done, cut it in four pieces. I re-heat these to take on the go by placing them in the oven at 350 on a piece of tin foil for about 15 minutes. When I'm ready to leave the house, I take it out of the oven, sprinkle a little sea salt on top, and wrap it up in the foil to take it to go!

Another option for re-heating is to place a piece of cheddar cheese on top (or even in the middle, like a sandwich!). Yum!

Directions

Use the turkey as your shell and put the cheese inside along with the cream cheese. Fold it in half and stick on a hot fry pan, only a minute or so on each side as the cheese will melt quickly!

Garnish with some salsa if desired!

I really like the Atkins Breakfast bar with cranberries and almonds...most of their products are amazingly good. There's 150 calories, 10 g Protein, no sugar, and w net carbs and it fills you up. The website" world according to eggface" has some good recipes including ricotta pancakes. Good Luck!

I just discovered canned baked Beans today. I now eat beans for breakfast because it is high in protien and goes down easy. Bush's baked beans is the best.

It may sound gross to some but I live hummus. I make my own. I add a teaspoon of olive oil because that's how it's garnished and it adds good flavor and I just eat it like that or you can eat it wrapped up with ur favorite lunch meat.< /p>

Mmmm that doesn't sound gross that sounds yummy. Better spread than mayo. How do you make it on ur own? Usually I buy sabra but I feel like everything I buy nowadays goes to waste.

Mine is a little tangy and spicy here's how I make it:

Boil one can of garbanzo Beans in a can on medium heat for 10-15 minutes, (until soft) you will then drain the Water out and place the hot Beans in a robo coupe , to that add 1/2 to 1 jalapeño with or w/o seeds depending on how spicy you like it. Then add a cup of tahini paste , two garlic cloves and a 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice. Blend until smooth. If its too thick add ice cold Water (drain the ice) until you get the desired consistency (1/3-1/2 cup usually is the most you need)

To serve: spread hummus on a plate and add some evoo just enough to taste and dip and garnish paprika and fresh chopped parsley. you can eat it with or on about anything! Yum!

This is as traditional as hummus gets (I'm Arab so I know, lol)

I eat bacon and chicken sausage... throw them on my George Foreman... I eat a spinach/cheese and a sweet apple for 26g of protein... (I usually can't finish them both in 1 sitting, so I use the leftover as a snack a few hours later)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
