Hi!

Weird question...did anyone's feet get smaller when they started losing weight? I have lots of cute, but too small, shoes in my closet that I'm hoping to wear again.

Is there hope?! I'm wondering if pregnancy and years of working on my feet made my shoe size bigger or if gaining weight did. Probably a combination of all three..

Thanks! :D

Lots of people reported that their feet got smaller after losing weight -- sometimes as much as a full size. I know that my shoe size has changed based on my weight.

My width changed from a wide to a regular, but not my length. I have heard of others, though, who have.

Not for me, I always had narrow feet, even when I was my heaviest. I have heard that lots have lost shoe sizes with weight loss, maybe you will too!

I lost almost a size.

My width changed, but not my numerical size. I actually gained TWO shoe sizes in my pregnancies - and I already had rather large feet. I went from a 9 to an 11W! Now that I'm actually well below my pregnancy weight, I'm still a size 11 - but my feet are regular (even bordering on narrow).

I just try to embrace my big ol' Peggy Hill feet! :)

In the past I have been able to fit in shoes that were too tight for me after losing weight. I'm hoping to do that again, I also have alot of cute sandals and shoes that I would love to get back into.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
