carriecat 12 Posted May 29, 2012 It's here.........I'm going in tomorrow!!!! Other than not waking up from the anesthisia, which I've never had a problem with, I have one other worry. I hurt my back on Friday night. I don't know what I did, but it's killing me. If I tell them, will they still do the surgery? I know I probably need to be strong to get up and walk around, but I don't want this to be a show stopper. My thought is that I should just keep my mouth shut and maybe the pain killers will help the back also. Any thoughts?
Kat Crowder 34 Posted May 29, 2012 carriecat, I don't think it's ever the best thing to do to keep your mouth shut when it comes to telling health/condition stuff with your surgeon or anesthesiologist. Are you able to function today, or are you completely laid up with the pain? Try icing it? And/or do some gentle stretches?
carriecat 12 Posted May 29, 2012 Well, I just heard from the doctor's office, and thanks to insurance taking their good sweet time, they have not approved tomorrow's surgery. It will now be next Tuesday, June 5th. Soooo, I'm bummed. I know it's only a week, but I was SOOOOO excited for tomorrow. So, minor setback, and I'll just have to wait 7 more days. Kat Crowder 34 Posted May 29, 2012 Awww! I'm sorry to hear that you're delayed. But, it's good that you'll have a chance to work out whatever's going on with your back before surgery! I know how it feels like it's never going to get here, but it will!
