Sagging Skin & Back Side(The Booty) Lol

Recommended Posts

Hello All-

Newbie to the site...Well I've had my page for a few months now...but I've been more of a reader than a commenter. Ok so my question-I keep reading horror stories of sagging skin. I am AA 5'5 280 and 29. No Kids. My skin is tight. Is there anyone who's had the VS with the same stats as myself that can give me an ideal of how their skin reacted? Is their anything that can be done in advance to prevent or decrease the chance of sagging skin? Lastly I've been a big booty girl all my life. I became over weight late teens until now. My mother has hips and butt. Has any former big booty girls lost their lovely lady lump? LOL..Bcos I am sooo prepared to do my squats! Any feed back will be great thanks.

Everyone is different. Your age is on your side, as is the fact you haven't already stretched your skin with baby. I was lucky when I had babies that I only gained a few stretch marks and had no real sagging. When I lost a tonne of weight a few years ago I also was lucky that the skin sprang back into place. I'm now over 40 and all the yo-yo dieting will probably come and bite me on the butt. You will find that you retain your natural shape, but just be smaller. Once you have children it will be a different story. When I was younger I was a pear shape, big butt/hips, smaller on top. Once I had children my shape seemed to change and now I'm big chest/smaller bum - more hourglass. I know I'm never going to make supermodel stats, I just want to be in the best shape I can. So embrace your booty - and go to gym to make it a firm booty, not a flabby one! :-)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
