If you over eat, your sleeve will tell you. It will get rid of it, and not in a pleasant way lol. As for stretching... You didn't do that either. The part of the stomach that is left in there isn't like the part they took out. It's firmer muscle and doesn't give as easily. With you being only a few weeks out it would have hurt you before it stretched too much. Unless you are in pain or throwing up, relax. Just watch portions, don't drink 30 minutes before, during or 30 minutes after you eat. You should be fine. Eat slow and listen to you body.

You were just sleeved, so of course you can eat more now! You are still in healing mode. For a long time your stomach will be swollen, which limits your capacity. Most people don't hit their "normal" capacity till a few months out. Don't worry about stretching your sleeve... the chance of you doing that is incredibly slim and at this stage pretty much non-existent. Just follow your rules, stick to your Water and Protein and Vitamins and don't worry!!

As for not getting on the scale, you don't have to! Some people have the willpower to only weigh in once a month. It takes a lot of stress away as it tends to remove any "stalls" (because you won't see them). Right now you are in your third week right? Or close to it? Many people stall at this point. In fact it is notorious! So if you didn't lose weight, don't sweat it. Its just our bodies saying "whoa, what the heck did you do??" they freak out a little and put the weigh loss on hold but then BOOM its over and your back on your journey.

Congrats on being sleeved. Try not to freak out too much :P Seriously just concentrate on protein and water and don't worry about anything else.

In addition to what others have said, are you doing measurements too? I weigh daily & do pictures & measurements once a week. I've been at the same weight for 3 days this week, which I think is just from my body getting more used to my change from Clear Liquids to full liquids, but when we did my measurements today we found out that I lost 6.75 inches throughout my body this week! You need to rejoice in how far you've come already and in the little triumphs along the way!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
