dzsunshine2901 0 Posted May 27, 2012 I am one week post op from the sleeve gastrectomy. I started out at 266 lbs and am now down to 150. I haven't lost any weight since wednesday and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Could it be that I'm not getting enough Protein or does this happen?? Please help.... rodswife 155 Posted May 27, 2012 You're not doing anything wrong. You aren't going to lose weight every single day. Your body has to catch up. You will go through numerous stalls. You will have times where you lose inches instead of pounds. It's normal. But, you will not see that scale drop daily. Of that, I am positive. You have to burn 3500 calories to lose a pound. Just hang in there and don't worry. It will come off. Slower is better anyway because you have less skin sagging and perhaps less Hair loss.< /p>
VJSlim 156 Posted May 27, 2012 Are you weighing daily? If so you should know that it could be very dicouraging when you dont see scale movement. I used to do that -- weigh every other day - it was so frustrating. Then my doc advised to weigh weekly for the first 3 months and then once every two weeks. That helps with the peace of mind LOL AND -- everyone goes through stalls in this journey. Most famous one is the 3rd week stall. Happens to almost everyone. Be prepared for that too and dont freak out. You'll do great! Concentrate on your Protein and Fluid intake - everything will fall in place. All the best!!
