Lisa, it's great to see you back. This place isn't the same without your insight and wit! I unfortunately started the where are you thread that brought out the fangs of some of your less than supportive fans. gee-zus they were enough to make me consider deleting Lbt forever. No wonder you needed a break! I decided their problems are their problems, and I would be a better person and just let it go. I'm very happy to see you doing the same. I don't post on their threads, maybe they'll learn to respect the threads of others by example... it's a long shot, but I'm hopeful. Anyway, my apologies for starting the fire...

Hey chickie....nice to see you back; I did notice your absence! Hey...it's good to take the "higher ground"; I hear ya there...I had to do it a few times myself....I still check in sometimes but the vast majority of my LBT time is spent now on the Canadian thread (for reasons you'll understand!).

Great to hear your bizness is doin' sooooo GREAT!!!!

*cheers*

WOw...okay, I guess I'm the last to find out about all the hooopola that has gone on.

Hmmmm I guess that is why I shall just continue to stick to the nice peaceful Canuck thread...I'm glad I avoided all this mess.

I hear you Yoda, I was away most of the summer, and guess I must have missed an awful lot...thankfully. It's sad that whatever happened got so out of hand, or that so many people honestly are relieved that it's worked out this way... sometimes being in the dark is a good thing...

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
