Vomitting Question Pls Help!

Recommended Posts

So today i have only ate 1 egg white mixed w/ hald slice of turkey. Then has a tiny peice of bannana. Thennn we went to the movies and i had 2 bannana chips and a tiny bite of a sour worm.... Its been about 4 hours since then and i feel like hell.... I just vomited and it was bright yellow and directly after i had diareah... Do u think it was because of what i ate??? And if so should i avoid eating anything else for the remainder of the day??? I still feel so nauseated!!! Should i be worried?????

I haven't been sleeved yet, but for 2 weeks postop I will be on Clear Liquids and then 3 - 6 weeks after that I will still be on full liquids just progressing to pureed foods. I would have to say that the banana chips and sour worm, were really not good choices today. Perhaps try sticking with Protein liquids. Are you keeping track of your protein and carb intake?

I have a very sensitive sleeve. At four weeks I don't think I my sleeve could of handled the sugar in the worm or the banana chips. Even the tiniest amount would have made me sick. This may be your case. I'm a little more than 3 months postop, and can't tolerate eggs and sweets (to name a few). I hope you feel better.

If you are 4 wks post op, I don't think the banana chip was the best; however, it can be several factors. How much you spaced each item you ate, how fast you spaced them, and how much you chewed.

A rule of thumb is if you vomit, you should go back to clear liquids til you feel better.

I am sorry that you are feeling bad. I hope that it passes soon

Sounds like too much sugar. Bright yellow vomit might be bile. Try to stick to Protein and not even a tiny bite of something sugary...especially if you're also drinking around that time. I find that sugar effects me if I drink too soon before or after.

Yes i totally agree that bite although it was small was a total no no... And my new sleeve is showing me that.. I havent stopped vomiting since, there isnt anything in my tummy so its just a bunch of dry heeving now. Just worried i will now get dehydrated since i can not hold down water!!!! I hope this stops soon!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
