How Long Do I Need To Take Off From Work?

I am anticipating two weeks off of work. I'm hoping to get the two weeks paid by short term disability - then I can save my PTO.

I took 5 weeks.. I took 1 week of vacation. I have submitted short term disability papers to the state of Cali. I am hoping that I am approved. As long as I get the std, my job will pay me the remainder of whatever the std doesn't so I will get full pay.

I'm off work for 2.5 weeks but I'm fortunate that I am able to work on a laptop from home, so I only had to take sick days for the days I wasn't feeling well enough to work.
