This is my first post ever. My surgery is 5 days away and I am terrified. I am also quite hungry and very emotional. I truly believe this margarita flavored crystal light is the only reason my husband is still breathing. I am such a mess! I really need some support here. I am from the Chicagoland area. Please, someone, hear me. Tell me this is going to be okay..

It is going to be more than all right: it is going to be fantastic. In a few days, your surgery will be done and you will be on to a healthier -- and better -- life. I know it is hard, but I encourage you to figure out ways to take your time off food. You will have a number of activity restrictions for a while following surgery, so maybe you can do some work around home or that kind of stuff.

The bottom line is that lots of folks have made it through and so will you! You are courageous and will not regret this!

I am on day 6 of the pre op diet. The diet is hard but it get easier. .You can do it and its going to be ok!!!! Just keep focus on why youre doing it. For your health and for your family would be reason enough for anyone. Stay positive and things will be ok. Good luck!!
