Keep in mind this doesn't mean you will live longer if you start walking faster, warns researcher Dr. Stephanie Studenski. I got caught in the rain walking with my husband on Thrusday. We got pretty wet, but you know what we didn'tmelt and we weren't hurt at all. I learned that I can walk in the rain or wind and I am just fine. Glad you enjoyed it. Hugs, and have a great weekend. Suzanne

Willow216 91 Posted June 27, 2012 Thank you for the information! Walking is the only excercise right now that I do on a regular, I walk 3 miles 5-6 days weekly and I don't get bored with it. I get very easily tired of Gyms and things like Zumba or Step excercising hurts my knees not to mention I have no balance whatsoever. Walking has helped my weightloss immensely! Once I get to my goal weight I will try other things to help me firm up but until then walking has been my best go to excercise and the best part...It's Free! 2 Suzannesh and kamrie37 reacted to this

Suzannesh 376 Posted June 29, 2012 Hi Everyone, I am glad to see that there are some of us who enjoy walking. I hear what you are saying when you say it is hard to walk on the treadmill at the gym. It bores me to death, and I love walking outside. I have learned to reverse my walking route each day. I walk in my local neighborhood and I have seen some beautiful yards and actually see what the yards and home look like now that I am walking all over the place. Keep up the good work everyone! kamrie37 134 Posted July 1, 2012 I need to start getting up in the early morning and going for a walk before I go back to work. Before it gets hot out! I went today up to the mountains and walked for a couple of miles. We went slow because we had our weiner dog with us. I am glad I did though because I got really tired and dizzy towards the end. It was beautiful up there though. BTW, I can't say enough about MapMyWalk! It is a wonderful app. You never have to wonder how far you've walked again.
