kysia81 11 Posted May 25, 2012 So I had surgery may 15th and it went well, my stitches came out early so healing us slow and I had to go on clindamycin but that's ok. While on the medication you need to eat, so I tried eggs! And man oh man they are great! Make me feel good, and give me energy, and I love it! So eggs and soft foods now:) however I am still not losing weight. Any ideas? I walk every day and do house work. However since may 15th I've only lost 4kg so that's 8.8 pounds. I need to do something to help it go faster! Any ideas?
Mab 44 Posted May 25, 2012 I think 8.8 lbs in that amount of time is great - especially since you've been on antibiotics. Some of us just lose slower than others. I lost a lot in the first 25 days after surgery, but have slowed down quite a bit since. Check with your NUT and Dr. to see if they're satisfied with your loss and perhaps they have suggestions. It's wonderful that you're able to tolerate eggs and moving around so much.
Meli01 53 Posted May 25, 2012 I don't think 8.8 pounds is a bad loss so far. I think that is right around what I had lost at that point. It also has to do with how much you need to loose. My weight loss wasn't too fast in the beginning but it has stayed consistent thought the process, and I'm happy with it now. I agree, eggs are great! I melt a little bit of cheese on mine and that is one of my favorite meals now. Good luck!!
fanofdmb 6 Posted May 25, 2012 it may sound gross to some, but i scramble my eggs and i throw in some tuna and mix it up. lots of Protein there. i season it with a little mccormicks grill seasoning and about a teaspoon of light mayo. i have been trying to come up with different egg recipies. 1 aznurse4u reacted to this
