Need Comparison From The Pros

Hey Guys

Sorry I haven't been around in a while, been swamped with school work and marriage plans

(she got me). Anyway a quick update, have lost 120lbs and trying to maintain at goal of 180 though I could probably do another few I feel comfy at 180 and I don't want to be a really small guy. But my question pertains to restriction. I have always had great restriction, but lately I have been able to eat more. Granted its been 7 months and I expected some expansion but last night I was able to eat a whole subway 6 inch including bread and veggies and was full not stuffed! Just wondering how you success story guys have had this much change after this amount of time? Thanks

Could I eat a 6" subway? Maybe... I don't eat bread since the sleeve so I wouldn't try it. I eat more now than before and pretty much anything I want. My self-control is much better, not perfect but definitely better.

Thanks for the input! I was just wondering how far past capacity of others I had. I also low carbed for the last 7months under 30grams a day, but Im actually losing more weight than I planned to so I upped carbs and calories to maintain where I am now, BTW I still keep losing even with the added carbs!~

CT, my husband is also a sleever, and he is able to eat a lot more than I can. He eats "regular-sized" meals, like normal-weight people would eat, and has from almost the beginning of his post-op time. I don't think you have to worry about it--sounds like you're doing just fine with your current plan. And congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Hey :) Congrats on how well you've been doing! I can't eat the entire 6 inch sub including the bread, but I could minus the bread. Bread still hits me like a rock! Are you a taller guy? I'm pretty sure that could affect the size of your stomach from the very beginner because your organs will be longer than a shorty like me (5'2"). I know I've read on here before some guys saying they could eat a whole sandwich and then some at a further point out. I think you're fine, especially since you are in maintenance already :)

Congrats on getting married!!!

Depending on the day I could possibly eat a six inch. I don't think I would try, but yesterday I ate a medium piece of pizza with no problem. You are able to eat more so you just have to eat dense protein...that always does the trick :)

I can eat a 6 inch with veggies minus the top of the bread. Sounds normal and reasonable.

CT! I'm so happy to see you!! Yeah, she got you, but you're lucky to have her too, which I'm sure you know! :) I can't speak to the restriction (or lack thereof) because bread still kicks my butt. However, I wanted to say congrats and welcome home! :)

at 4 months out, I can eat a 12 inch subway sub if it's just meat (not veggies).... but I'm retardedly stuffed. The few times I've gone to subway, I ate half a foot long, waited 3-4 hours then ate the other half.

I have a feeling my stomach is longer than most people's though... pre-op I could eat an entire stuffed crust pizza by myself and not be stuffed, just be "satisfied"... I've eaten 3 subway subs in one sitting before.

So to be super stuffed after eating 1 suits me just fine... i just have to be a little more disciplined than most on here until I lose the weight.

Hey CT Fats,

glas you've popped back!

At 22mths+ I can eat between 6-9oz of food and that, is very similar to what I could eat at 8mths - so over the last year nothing much has changed with my restriction... sounds to me like you are 'there'!

Congrats on an amazing weight loss and getting to goal, that is a brilliant achievement - you've lost another person!

Oh and congrats on the wedding plans too... will this be a photo opportunity?? =]

Let us know how maintance goes!

Yes, it's normal to be able to eat more as time goes on.

I am at 3 years. I ate a whole 6" once. Most of the time, I can't finish the last little bit and eat about 3/4 of it.

Plus if you're a man, your sleeve is probably longer because you're taller.

Don't worry. It's normal to stretch a bit as time goes on. It won't stretch too much though!

I ate a 6" inch on whole wheat with bbq chicken, lettuce, Tomato, and BBQ Sauce the other day. Normally I can't eat all the bread, but for some reason I could that day. I am 1 yr. out. I agree with others, may stretch a bit, but if you stick with dense Protein and avoid too many noshes between meals, it won't be a problem.

Good to see you back on the board!

Lynda

Congrats on the engagement and hitting goal!! :) Like some of the others, I can eat the meat from a 6-inch sub with veggies and half the bread . . . sounds like you are doing just fine.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
