Anewlifeforme23 33 Posted May 25, 2012 I feel like this surgery has turned me into a carnivore!!!!
Lissa 2,631 Posted May 25, 2012 I see nothing wrong with being a carnivore! It's Protein, baby!! 1 mesaucedo reacted to this
mesaucedo 207 Posted May 25, 2012 I have to agree! I think it is normal for us! My go to meal or snack is thick carved turkey deli meat. I love it
BeautyVGSJourney 99 Posted May 25, 2012 I am two weeks post op and if that is the worst I am looking forward to it!!! I am already a carnivore, I want this liquid diet to be over with already!
kayte819 95 Posted May 25, 2012 This aspect of this is a struggle for me. I have, and have always had, days where meat sounds gross. In the past I'd have days where I ate nothing but carbs. I'm also not a cheese lover. I do like meat & I do eat it every day, but some days I just don't want to. **sigh**
emily_0192010 168 Posted May 25, 2012 It sure does!!! I'm 7 months out and I rarely eat anything other than meat and cheese. I lived in Brooklyn, NY for a few months and so many people I met there were vegans... it was always amusing eating out with them. I ate the complete opposite diet! But, it works for me. And it is sooo worth it!! On days where I really just don't feel like eating meats or I want a high carb day I just make sure to get in an extra shake or two to make sure I hit my Protein goals. I suppose you could also try adding in tofu or nuts to your diet, but neither are particularly high sources of Protein.< /p>
rodswife 155 Posted May 25, 2012 I get tired of meat too but when I want a quick snack with Protein, I eat beef Jerky. One ounce has 15g protein.
BeautyVGSJourney 99 Posted May 25, 2012 Lentils and Beans are also great Protein sources for when you don't want meat, so it tuffu and other things.
