So I have noticed that a lot of people lose weight

Consistantly example 1-2lbs every week. My body does its in clusters. It will drop 3-7lbs in a matter of 1 day and then I won't lose for about 1-3 weeks. Weird. Anyone else like this?

I don't lose that much at a time, I'll lose 1-2 lbs over a week (.2 here, .6 there) then up and down for 2 weeks before I lose more. I get really discouraged in those few weeks. Then boom, a little more comes off...

I am the same way..... only my waiting periods in between weight loss is about 3-4 weeks. I am losing in stalls.... but still losing! :)

Doesnt help that I weigh first thing EVERY morning... This last 50 that I need to lose are going to be a b***h!

Yes, I lost all my weight that way. I would not lose anything for weeks, and then I would drop 5 lbs in a week. Then I would not lose again for weeks. I had to make sure to stay on track. It's easy to think "I may as well eat that piece of chocolate because I am not losing anyway"

I lose about a lb a week. During the week it'll go up and down a lb then eventually done another lb. That's my pattern.

I thought I was the only one. I lose 10-15 pounds then nothing for 3 weeks. It is SO discouraging. I know it's my body just adjusting but I can't help but think if I keep losing weight at this rate I'll be at goal in no time. :0)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
