K so what's up with my TOM?? Totally different. Coming on time, but it starts off really brown, then red then back to really 'dry' brown? Never been like that before. Except like on the last day.

Mine came on time, but was very light & only lasted 2 days! Normally it lasts about 4 days. Of course I am not complaining!

I had a hysterectomy at age 33. My "Visitor" was like yours every time; doctor said it was a "hormone" thing.

I have Mirena also, and had a period for the first time in 3 years shortly after being sleeved.

I have the mirena and I'm hoping my period does not come back I have had the mirena for 4 years and really have not had any issues. I have not been sleeved yet but I will be in June. Beecharmer and Kandib did ya'll have periods before your surgery with the Mirena? Have you just had 1 or are they regular now?

Ive got a Mirena and I had a small (extremely light)& short period a few weeks after surgery and nothing since.

I still get the cramps and breast fatigue- but no blood or spotting.

Hurray for no period and weight loss! :)

I have mirena & hadn't had my period for 3 years. The day after surgery I got it & it lasted forever. Since then, I've had it every month. I'm so bummed cuz I hate it & I've also had the worst cramps ever now. My gyno said that an iud can cause cramps to worsen so I guess I'm just screwed in that.area now. Sucks!!!!!

I had depo, not mirena I know, and I had actually stopped 3 month's before surgery to kind of purge my system. Well I didn't get a period at all, I even waited for another 3 months before getting my shot again.

I have heard some people who had their period with depo so it might just depend on your body.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
