Itsanewdaycassandra 45 Posted May 25, 2012 Sometimes people who don’t struggle with weight or have not had the surgery don’t really know how to be supportive. If you ask me you should Just know and be honest with yourself about your commitment and the life changes that you are making post op and be your best advocate in reaching your goal and you will get there! Also it doesn’t hurt to come on this site for moral support! Good luck and keep rocking that sleeve!
sarahcc 184 Posted May 25, 2012 I like to try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt... is it possible he was just trying to say something like, "In this first month you really don't have to work to get the weight to fall off, you just don't have any choice" and that upcoming months may give you more "choice" in the matter? My doctor can be kind of naggy like that, but I believe he has good intentions, not that he's a jerk. I think he wants me to be successful! He probably could have worded it better, but I'd like to believe he just wanted to warn you that the weight won't always come off as easily as it has in the last month? Hopefully Congrats, you're doing great!!!
