Anyone Who Cant Stomach Protein Mix..

Recommended Posts

Especially the sweet ones, i bought some from GNC, gnc brand that is inflavored. Added it to milk and it did the trick. Thank gosh! So if your having trouble getting the flavored ones down, i would definitely suggest it.

Thanks. I am on the pre-op 14 day shakes from New Directions and it sits in my mouth and I have a hard time swallowing it - this is pre-surgery lol. I found that Muscle Milk isn't banana cream that you get in the grocery store milk area is about the same and I bought one and had that for lunch. I have 10 more days of this and since I'm not liking it, it's going to be rough. Luckily after surgery I can go back to Pure Protein 100% Whey Protein, but I was thinking of trying GNC's unflavored one to add to things like instant mashed potatoes & Cream of Wheat for the mushy phase!

I don't know if you can do it but my girlfriends turned me on to 2 scoops whey, 11/2 tbls Peanut Butter, 8oz skim milk, greek yogurt. I can stomach this. It tastes like butterscotch. One of them use frozen fruit as well and the other uses a banana. It might not sound good but it is very good. Hope you can use and stomach. Please pass on.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
