I am 5 1/2 months out. I am 75 thinner. I have no regrets but i have not had any complications. I went through surgery with fling colors and the nurses kept asking me to push my button and i wouldnt. food wise i miss some foods only cus they sit funny in my tummy but i am doing great. I no longer diabetic and that is worth it.

If your having regrets you should sit and talk wirh your dr. And your nut. See what your tummy is telling you. Everyone has a diffrent reaction to the surgery. Good luck

It gets better I promise you need to give your stomach time to heal. Take it slow don't stretch your new sleeve. Regrets are totally normal I had them at first because I felt like garbage after surgery and emotionally I wanted to eat but it's the best decision I've ever made for myself please give it time

Btw stay away from juice of any kind it's empty calories tons of sugar that you don't need. Get crystal light instead the fruit punch is yummy. Don't waste your calories on juices.

I don't know if that is how I would describe it but yes I question my decision. When you begin to feel better, I am sure that you will have a different outlook on the whole thing. This is the time I want you at your strongest. Self motivation and positive thinking. Think to your self that you can do this because this decision was something not made in haste. This too shall pass. When down, you can only look up. Believe me, I take this advice as well and some days I try not too. I will be joining with you for both of us to get stronger.

What do you question?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
