claudiahayden 6 Posted May 24, 2012 Had surgery 4/25 with a hernia repair at the same time. Since the surgery about 4-6 hours after I go to sleep, I wake up every night with slimes. What am I doing wrong? I don't vomit when I have them, my mouth just waters like crazy, then I spit the Water out and it goes away. Any info would be great! Thanks! LadyIvy 159 Posted May 24, 2012 Reflux maybe? Try taking some tums before bed and see what happens.

Wheetsin 714 Posted May 24, 2012 My first thought was reflux. But reflux and watering mouth aren't at all the same thing (though you could have a watering mouth - our bodies do this when we think we're going to puke - if your body has interpreted the reflux as a bit of vomit... maybe... dunno) Are you taking a PPI? If not, this could be contributing to reflux. If so, it could be that your acid is neutralized enough (suppressed) that the acid being refluxed seems like it's just saliva. I know a lot of people this has happened with. But still... reflux is a very definite feeling... people usually wake up thinking they're puking, choking, or "wake up coughing" (more mild cases). deltadawn817 106 Posted May 24, 2012 I have this if my stomach has too much acid going on and it get worse if I lie down. If you are not already taking something I would start. Either prilosec or Zertec.
claudiahayden 6 Posted May 24, 2012 Thanks all. I take a acid reducer in the morning and at night to control the acid. Hoping in time it stops happening. "I hope" Sent from my iPhone using VST
