I had my band revision surgery on 4/30/12. I've been eating and drinking; my eyes aren't showing any indication of jaundice, but my urine is still too dark. I was thinking maybe the meds is the cause of the urine color. I don't want to be hospitalized for dehydration, etc...Looking for help/suggestions.

how much are you drinking? I would say unless you are getting the 64 oz it may be darker

The meds are a huge reason why your urine is darker than its suppose to be. When you take meds you have to increase your Water even more than before. My urine is dark also and that's what my dr today me today. U need enough Water to flush the meds out of your body.

My surgeon says MINIMUM 64 oz daily and add 8oz for every 10 degrees the temperature rises above 75. Also add more if you are sweating durring your work outs.

I have been told that urine should always be lemonade or green tea (caused by vitamins) color and not tea-tea colored- otherwise its a sure sign of dehydration.
