It's getting better, healing is just gonna take a while and be a little painful at times. Finally on puréed though (:

I had to buy a new scale. My digital one wasn't moving and I felt something wasn't right. Low and behold I buy a new one and I am 12lbs less than what I thought. Thank God I was worried

Week 4 Stats - down 2.6 lbs & 1.5 inches this week. I'm at 250.6 lbs today. Down 16.4 lbs & 14.25 inches in 4 weeks. Down 29 lbs in 6 weeks (when pre-op diet started). I'm going to weigh again on Thursday, 6/14, to see what my loss is for exactly a month after surgery since that was 5/14.

So excited!! SW:396 Day of Surgery:380. Today:359. I was sleeved on the 15th of May. I haven't been able to walk due to my weight and bad knees but I've been released to swim:). Never been so excited about shaving my legs and getting into a swimsuit!! If people don't like what they see God made necks to turn! LOL!!! Bring on the exercise!!!

I'm going to Schlitterbahn Wednesday and I'm wearing a size 14 swim suit lol that was way too small last year. Not sure why I even had it, I maybe accidentally picked it up at a garage sale or something. Lucky me now though :) I have wore a 14 in maybe 12+ years!

Sleeved May 21st at HUMC by Dr. Trivedi. Started at 232 lbs and down to 207 lbs. lost 19 lbs post op. I am so happy to find May sleevers. I thought I was losing too slowly until I came across this thread. Appears I'm on track, so feeling less frustrated and a bit more confident! I'm always looking for recently sleeved friends on my fitness pal. My name is herst0ry (0=zero).

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
