CraftyV 61 Posted May 23, 2012 I am due to get surgery on 6/18 and my big motivator is having a baby with my amazing husband. We don't have any children due to pcos. I am 35 and I hope that I will get pregnant soon! Kaisers says 2 years but u want to wait 1 year. I keep having a dream about this beautiful lil boy who looks just like my husband I desperately want to meet him. I wish I could have done this sooner. Please forgive me if I am sounding too emotional!! Thanks for the hope you have all given me. 2 skowronski777 and sabstar22 reacted to this
emily_0192010 168 Posted May 23, 2012 Of course you are not being too emotional!! I am 21 and having a child (in the future, not now ) was one of my motivations to have this surgery. You are not the first on these boards either whose main motivation for the surgery was to have children. I believe there is even section on this site specifically for people post-sleeve who are pregnant or who are trying to become pregnant!! If you haven't already you should check it out for sure Good luck! You're surgery will be here before you know it. And hopefully that beautiful little angel as well
Lovely Lo 4 Posted May 23, 2012 I was sleeved June 20, 2011 and found out I was pregnant jan 27, 2012 only 7 months out!! I was shocked! I've lost 105 lbs over 25 of that while pregnant I'm 5 months haven't gained anything and my little boy is healthy and measuring big!! getting pregnant was one of my many reasons I wanted to be sleeved, because I knew it would be too unhealthy for me & too risky for a baby at my size, but I never thought it would be this soon!! I wish you all the success with the sleeve and having a baby! The sleeve has really changed my life, and I just feel so lucky to have had such an amazing tool to help me in my weight loss journey and life!

I have horrible pcos and have misscarried, i am also 21.

I've been married to the most amazing man for just about 5 years. My weight seems to be the only reason we have never gotten pregnant in all this time so this is my biggest reason for getting sleeved in July. Doc says we need to wait 2 years to get pregnant which will put me at close to 35 if we get pregnant 2 years from now. My husband is already 45 and we both want a baby very badly. I feel very hopeful when I read many of these threads that our dream will come true. Best of luck on your surgery tomorrow!
