Nikki613 120 Posted May 22, 2012 Anyone have advice on this topic? I already have thinning hair due to PCOS. I am very self conscience about it, It is s little bit noticble in the front bangs area. (especially when wet). I am worried I dont have much left to lose if the surgery makes it worse? Any advice or stories to share about this?
BentleyJade 28 Posted May 23, 2012 I have PCOS as well..and the same problem! I've been so worried that I'm gonna look nearly bald on top..my hair is thick towards the bottom, but the top has been thinning for a while. I'm so worried about this! I wish I knew a way to fix this.
fell4falls 18 Posted May 24, 2012 My surgeon (same as SleeveMe81's) suggested fish oil, zinc, and Biotin daily. I didn't start to lose my hair until after surgery, but it has definitely slowed it down. If you started taking these before surgery, it might help with Hair loss after surgery. ClaraViviana 16 Posted July 28, 2012 My hair started falling out about three month after surgery I had bald spots all over :/ the Dr told me I needed to keep better track of my protien intake ...not having the required amount of protien everyday causes hairloss I also started taking Biotin and washing my hair with Dr miracle grow Shampoo and conditioner ..my hair is still falling out but no where near as much as before and its starting to grow back too

Bufflehead 6,358 Posted July 28, 2012 I have thinning hair pre-surgery too. I use Nanogen or Xfusion to cover the thin spots. They work great! I recommend checking them out if you are self-conscious about your scalp showing etc.
