Probably dehydrated... Do you get dizzy and lose a lil vision like you see a whole bunch of white flares?

If you're on BP meds, it may be that your BP is getting too low, your doc may need to adjust your dose.

No bp meds .. have never had an issue with that.. just realized I haven't eaten today..could that be it?

I have this happen often. My bp stays around 90/50 which is hypotensive. It has been that way all my life but only since surgery to I get the dizzy spells from standing too quickly. I think its a combo of low bp and not drinking enough fluids.

Just saw my dr today and asked about signs of dehydration. #1 she said is feeling dizzy or lightheaded when you stand up. Drink more fluid!!

11 months out and it still happens. That reminds me I should probably go drink something.

5 months out and this still happens to me, and yes, it reminds me to drink :) Low BP related, which is somehow Fluid intake related as well.

Yup- its dehydration.

Its most noticible in the AM it also causes me slight nausea in the morning.

Dr. says drink a whole 12oz of liquid before bed and first thing in the AM and it should fix the issue.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
